Earlier this year, we featured one of the above SNES mods (the one on the right), and now, one of our favorite modders has thrown his hat into the portable SNES ring. The SNES on the left, by kotomi, is the latest in a long line of great-looking mods featured on his site.
But unless you're some sort of ambidextrous, giant-handed mutant freak, you probably can't play two of these at once, and that means you have to choose. Which one do you prefer: kotomi's, or, uh, the other guy's? Unfortunately, we don't know his/her name, though we wish we did!
So yesterday we sat in on a conference call about the upcoming Beatles Rock Band game. We don't have much in the way of details, other than it'll be a retail disc game and not DLC. When asked about the music in the game, the consoles it'll be on, and the interoperability between Rock Bandand its sequel, Rock Band 2, Harmonix, Apple Corp. and MTV Games were kind of hush-hush.

The official announcement of Castlevania Judgmenthas given us all kinds of mixed emotions. Change can be a good thing, but whatever happened to, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?" We've pointed out before that only a minority of fighting games are actually good, as much as we love the genre. Then there's this whole 3D business that might cause some worry. On the other hand, though, we have promises of Wi-Fi battles, DS-Wii connectivity, and the neat idea of laying the smackdown with some of our favorite 'Vania characters.

Rock Bandis an incredibly popular game. On systems other than the Wii. With the Wii port lacking many features the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game enjoy, many in the Wii camp feel cheated and neglected. Well, now is the time to have your voice heard. So, you've had more than 24 hours to play Brawl. You've unlocked several characters, took the fight online and probably spent some time gawking at your trophies. But, the real question lurking in the back of many a fanboy's (and fangirl's) mind is: which control scheme is the best to go with?
You know, the wholeGuitarHero3debacle has been our minds a lot lately. Mainly because folks are finally starting to get their packages that they send their busted copy of the game out with (you know, where they wait 3-4 weeks for a new disc). We can't be the only ones peeved at this whole state of affairs, right?

We all know there are plenty of choices out there when it comes to gun shells. The latest entry in the game comes from Nerf, but there's also Nintendo's own Wii Zapper. Also, we can't discount Nyko's Perfect Shot. Or, how about the Blaster or Gun, some Zapper knock-offs. There's also the DIY possibilities to be considered. During 2007, lots of companies realized that the Wii was doing good. Perhaps, too good. So, they scrambled to make games that they could port or "enhance" for the Wii, or other games that were made to take advantage of the console's adopters who were new to gaming and thus susceptible to spending money on crap games the unique capabilities of the Wii's controls scheme, causing a slew of cash-ins on the console that didn't necessarily bring anything new to the Wii other than another game sitting on the shelf. So, let's look at those games and you tell us what the most shameless and useless game of the lot is.
