EBgames.com has a listing up for the Wii version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, selling for $59.99 and shipping on 11/1/2006. Now, EBgames.com has been incorrect in regards to pricing and release dates in the past, so that is easily taken with a grain of salt, however the proposed boxart looks like the real deal, regardless of the 'for display purposes only' disclaimer.

Fugly. That bar takes up too much room at the top and I don't like how big NINTENDO looks. I don't think that the design is final because it doesn't seem to match the rest of the Wii sensibility.
Thous it does kind of remind me of DS packaging ... hmm.

If it's true, that looks pretty good, but we know the price is going to be $49.99, and I guess this only further points to the launch date being in November. I don't know what the lines by "Wii" are supposed to signify, but whatever. It could be made up. Who knows?

Definitely fake. All of it. Box Art, Release Date, Price.
I used to work at EB, they make all that stuff up so they can start taking Pre-orders.
If a release date is the first or last date of the month, or the 15th, it usually means they don't know when its coming out but its sometimes that month. If the date is March 1st, June 1st, Sept. 1st or Dec 1st, it usually refers to the Quarter (Like if Nintendo says Q1 for a game, it'll show up as March 1st in the system the next day).
The box art is no doubt just a poorly photoshopped image using official Zelda Art (did you all see the press website?) and inspired by the current DS packaging.
All fake. Sorry.

There's no way this is real. It's impossible that EB games knows more about this then official sites. And I really doubt Nintendo would make their logo bigger then the Wii one.

That looks rubbish - it almost looks like they've placed an x-box 360 across the top!

Now whether this stuff comes from this press kit or not, I am not aware, but the artwork shown in the proposed box art is all stuff we have seen before. The background image seen was first printed on EGM magazines preview of the game about a year or so ago, I believe.
Simply disregarding whether they would really re-use content or not, JP is right. Besides the fact they do no put anything but the system's logo in those banner bars. Remember what Nintendo keeps pushing? It's not "Nintendo Wii"... it's just "Wii". I would imagine that the system banner would reflect that. Next up, where is the Nintendo logo and seal of quality you find on finalized box art?

That's more like Nintendo's current design and trend for Gamecube's box art, at least. I would have included a "only for" tag, but my MS Paint skills are far to lacking and I'm to lazy to lag my machine by running Photoshop at the moment. *shrugs*
Expect the official box art release from Nintendo to look different than EB's or my altered mock-up, regardless.

I'd also expect the cover for Zelda to be gold. Last I saw, IGN had a mock-up that looked pretty spot on to me.

Erm, that's odd, Iwata said that he didn't expect any 1st party games on the Wii to be over $50.
Don't like shops that jump the gun. Amazon had the Gamecube version of Zelda on pre-order back in about July 2005.

november 1st? november isn't in the 4th quarter and this is supposed to be a launch game...so since Wii launches in Q4 and Zelda launches with it doesn't that mean that this is fake?

Gamestop/ebgames always seem to do that, they put down whatever they want as long as its in their database. A little before e3 I think it said it would be coming out may 1st

Based on the dimensions of the whole image and the shape of the top image, the first thing that came to mind was "Xbox 360 Strategy Guide".

Um, MegaMatt.....November 1st most definitely is in Q4. Q4 would include October, November, and December.

Shown here at amazon.com, it says that Twilight Princess will be released on November 15th for Gamecube. Amazon.com is usually always right. So if it's releasing for GCN that late, when can we expect the Wii?

That is most definitely NOT the final box art design! Are you serious? It's obviously a mockup and a badly photoshopped one at that! I'm sorry, but this post is just DUMB.
